TeaRooms is a modern cafe aiming to deliver a unique and sophisticated experience for drinks that span back centuries. Therefore, to meet the design requirements of this company, I had to incorporate this theme into my designs. Using pure tones of black and white in the design offers the sophisticated look I was going for while also still allowing me to make the brand look modern but not formal which is typically associated with the tones.
For the logo, I wanted to incorporate the initials of the company to make it more recognisable and accessible to the market. In such a competitive market, cafe’s need branding that is instantly recognisable from a mug, cup, or sign.
Furthermore, using the initials of the company in the logo allowed for a modern, sophisticated look while also being easy to reproduce and not to busy or complicated. These choices aid the marketability of the brand.
For a cafe, business cards are less about making contact with an individual in a company. Instead, they’re an away for your customers to spread the word about your cafe by handing out the cards with your contact details and location on. This is the approach I took for these cards by removing all information that could be distracting and adding more emphasis to the location and contact details.
Once again, the goal was simple and effective. So, when it came to producing the site for TeaRooms, I opted for using a single page that contained all the information required for the cafe: About, Drinks served, and Contact details.
In the future, it could be updated with a store to mass purchase drinks or just a simple menu area to view the food and drinks served. However, the current single page website would be sufficient for the marketing needs of the cafe.

I have included mockups of the branding on different products that would be relevant to TeaRooms. For example, mugs and takeaway cups.
